Winter Bowls Programme
During the winter months the club runs matches each week for the hardy and dedicated members who either don’t attend the AFL matches or whose teams are playing interstate and who love the game and companionship.
Bowls World Inner City Winter Pennants (Saturdays 12:45pm – 3:30pm)
An invitational competition played amongst a number of near city clubs over approx 10 weeks commencing in March with the finals in June. Format of the matches is 2 bowl triples with each club fielding two rinks of 3 players. Standard of competition varies with players from all grades competing. The competition suits players who want to keep their skills sharp over winter or learn to play a different position in the team etc.,
CAMS – is a short (4 week) competition played at the end of the Pennants Season. Generally the weather is perfect for bowls. Players’ weekly scores aggregate over the competition with the player having the highest score being declared the winner. A fun competition where everyone has a chance of winning a cash prize.
Tuesday & Saturday Social Bowls
Because numbers can fluctuate dramatically, depending on the weather, fortunes of AFL teams and family commitments, player numbers vary greatly over the winter months.
Each week the format of the game will vary to provide a challenging and interesting outcome for players.
